Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers
What is How to Travel Agent (HTTA)?
HTTA is a training and support community for new and aspiring travel agents. We provide courses, resources, and coaching to help you grow a profitable, sustainable travel business.
Who is HTTA for?
HTTA is for both new and seasoned travel agents. If you’re just starting out, we’ll help you build the foundation you need to launch and grow your business with confidence. If you’ve been in the industry for a while, HTTA gives you updated strategies, fresh ideas, and a supportive community to keep you moving forward. Our members come from all kinds of backgrounds—teachers, parents, retirees, career changers, and long-time agents—who all share the same goal: running a successful travel business with clarity and support.
Do I need experience to join?
Nope! We have people start with zero background in the industry. We teach you from the ground up and give you the tools to start booking travel confidently.
Is HTTA a host agency?
No, HTTA is not a host agency. We are completely agency agnostic, meaning it doesn’t matter what host you belong to (or if you’re still figuring that out). We also don’t help you pick a host, and we never try to recruit you into the personal host agencies that our team members are part of. HTTA has a strict no-poaching policy so you can focus on learning and growing your business without pressure.
How long does the cohort program last?
The live cohort runs for 12 weeks, with weekly sessions and assignments. You’ll also have access to resources and recordings for a set time afterward so you can revisit them.
What if I can’t attend live?
All live sessions are recorded and available to watch later. Many agents balance this alongside jobs and family life, so you won’t miss out if you can’t always be there live. If you truly can’t attend any of the live sessions, our evergreen course may be a better fit since it’s designed for completely self-paced learning.
What is the evergreen course?
The evergreen course is a self-guided version of the HTTA program. You’ll get the same core training as the live cohort but without weekly live calls. It’s built so you can move through the lessons on your own schedule, which makes it a great option if your calendar doesn’t allow for live participation.
What’s the difference between the cohort and the community?
The cohort is a structured 12-week training with step-by-step guidance. The community is our ongoing membership with resources, expert interviews, and peer support. Many agents join both for the full experience.
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on the program tier or membership you choose. You can view all options on our sign-up page.
Can I join from outside the U.S.?
Yes! While HTTA is based in the United States, the majority of our training and discussions are not US-specific and will benefit agents anywhere. Some details—like certain suppliers, tax considerations, or industry references—may differ depending on where you live, but the core strategies, resources, and community support apply no matter where you’re located.
Do you offer refunds?
Because all of our programs include immediate access to digital resources, training, and community support, we don’t offer refunds. Whether you join the live cohort, the evergreen course, or the community, you’ll be able to dive in right away and start using what you’ve paid for. We encourage you to review the program details carefully before enrolling so you can choose the option that best fits your needs.
